The Inertia

Tim Bonython has been making films of big wave surfing for years. And since we’ve all had plenty of time on our hands lately, he decided to do us a solid and create a collection of wipeouts (of which there are many) from his time filming at Cape Solander in Sydney. This really is the stuff of nightmares, as is that wave: sit in a tiny takeoff zone, make a steep drop, navigate a step, get tubed or get tossed. Most surfers out at the wave formerly known as “Ours” have to pay to play at some point. There’s a lot of cash being laid down in these clips.
