“Empties” is the latest production of filmmaker Nuno Dias, an independent 9-minute short film with an original soundtrack, featuring the best unridden wave action he could capture over two winters. During this time, Nuno has been involved in many productions around this fishing village’s giant wave, from feature documentaries to high-profile television commercials and international news coverage. Last year, he launched another short film titled “Grande” and he was the videographer with more nominations for the WSL Big Wave Awards than anybody else. That shouldn’t be a surprise though, because he might be the most involved and dedicated videographer associated with this Portuguese beast.
