Hunter Jones and Lex Weinstein end their California coast road trip with a stop in my hometown of San Francisco, and I’m pleased to say it seems like they did The City justice. They did have some help, big wave surfer and SF local Bianca Valenti helps them make their way around the tricky Ocean Beach currents, and shares a (very relatable) story about almost drowning out there. Most impressively, they somehow manage to score Fort Point while it’s breaking but no one’s out.
All that being said, I don’t know how I feel about their choice of burrito. No shade to Hook Fish Co, their fish burritos are great. But for a true SF burrito experience, you’ve got to go down to the mission to try out places like El Farolito, Taqueria Cancun, or my favorite, Los Panchos restaurant, home of “El Pancho Macho,” a veggie burrito with avocado and fried plantains. But that’s just my opinion.
