Fun times at Wedge last week. If you haven’t heard, Tuesday morning everyone was kicked out of the water after riding for nearly 2 hours once the lifeguards showed up – partly due to the extended water closure from the nearby shark attack over the weekend (so sketchy!), and partly to a dead seal (missing half its face) washing ashore and floating around in the middle of the lineup. Even so, there were still some great waves ridden in the hour and a half or so after sunrise and then again during the evening sesh. (It was officially re-opened mid-afternoon). This morning was pretty rad, 8-12+ ft, and everyone from Pat/Tanner Gudauskas and Rob Machado to local groms packing the lineup.
