A few years back, in September of 2017, Tim Bonython took a trip to a place he’s got a bit of a love affair with: the Right. It’s a wave that only a handful of surfers in the world even consider surfing, but when the stars align and the Right turns into the monster everyone knows it can become, that handful is on it. Bonython, much like the surfers, is there to shoot it whenever possible.
“On every trip or swell chase,” he writes, “I make a home movie and share it generally with the surfers I follow.”
This particular trip featured Jake Osman, Jarryd Foster, Zac Haynes, and Mic and Dan Corbett. And judging from the footage, none of them have come down from the adrenaline rush.
