We were sitting around the office yesterday talking about old surfing/skating/snowboarding videos. One thing that’s missing in a lot of newer surf flicks is a good ol’ fashioned ridiculous intro. How much do you miss those? Remember the Fully Flared intro for Spike Jonze’s Lakai video? Or Brandon Beibel’s giant clothes/tiny wheels Chomp on This part? Yes, those are both skate videos, but they prove the same point: intros are awesome. Thank God Ricky Whitlock is bringing them back. Nothing like Carl’s Jr. and Bud Light to kick off a session… and once he kicks it off, he’s still the same old Ricky, pitted to the gills.
