Mundaka is a very powerful wave. In fact, it’s one of the most respected waves in all of Europe, right up there with some of the spots near Hossegor, France, or that certain big wave spot off the coast of Portugal. Spain’s favorite left came to life at the end of September, a little ahead of schedule, but right on time for many hungry Spanish wave riders. “Incredible start to the season in Mundaka,” reads the YouTube description on SurfMundaka, “with the first powerful swell, although with very variable wind and stormy moments. But Mundaka once again demonstrated all its power.”
