As an ocean photographer, I am constantly carrying my camera in an effort to find that perfect shot. It’s always an adventure looking for an epic wave or the most beautiful light.
I spend most of my time on the water sailing or surfing and these two sports have opened up an entirely new dimension of my photography. The ocean is ever-changing and this endless flux makes each shot its own special entity. This particular gallery focuses on my time in San Diego, a place where I’m in constant awe of how consistent the surf is and how big it can get. I think the surfers who enter the waters here should be documented in a glorious fashion, and so my aim is to highlight the beauty of a person who simply plays in the ocean when the common man would tremble in fear.
