Ten years ago, a bunch of Irish big-wave/slab maniacs got together and did something really, really smart: they established the Irish Tow Surf Rescue Club.
Like most things, the club was born out of necessity. The goal was to to use their own real-life experiences to train others to make surfing safer. But they went much farther than just a few guys on jet skis–they work hand-in-hand with the Irish Coast Guard and helicopter service.
