This wave by Sebastian Steudtner was one of the standout bombs of the January 18 session at Nazaré. In fact, it’s impressive enough that it became an entry in this year’s WSL Big Wave Awards, captured on the same day Axi Muniain rode a vertical giant wall of water as well as Ross Clarke Jones’ biggest wave of the season.
This new drone footage shares a different angle of that absolute bomb, flying super fast at a very low altitude and as near to the action as possible. It’s like watching Hollywood special effects, Nazaré style. No CGI in here, folks.
