There is no shortage of friendly shit talking and ball busting here in New Jersey. That’s just the nature of the beast over here. Therefore, we’ve put together a legitimate contest where rivals and friends can put their money where their mouth is, so to speak. This contest will be held in the frigid waters of Asbury Avenue Beach, New Jersey, situated behind the famed casino building on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
The contest will consist of 16 of New Jersey and New York’s best surfers, dividing them into two teams of eight. The winning team will take home $8,000 in cold, hard cash ($1,000 a piece). Winner takes all. The waiting period runs from February 27th through March 18th. The call to hold the contest will be made at least 48 hours in advance, whenever an optimal surf forecast arises.
