2013 was a bit of a banner year for all of us at The Inertia. We celebrated our three year anniversary, hit a major milestone, and turned a little site from a tiny row boat bobbing in the stormy seas of the internet into… well, a slightly bigger row boat. This has been a good year.
It’s funny, this website. There is a lot of self-congratulatory back patting whenever something good happens – which makes sense, because we’re all working very hard to make people come to the website and read people’s words and look at their pictures and talk about things that are interesting. But we also realize that without you, our readers, we would have nothing at all. We’d have a notebook filled with interesting things that stays in a pocket. We’d have a chalkboard covered in ideas in a dark room. And because of you, we opened the notebook and turned on the lights.
So thank you. Thanks for making 2013 a year to be remembered. Thank you for turning on your computers and reading what people have to say, thank you for taking the time to spread the word, and most of all, thank you for making this website what it is. Because without you, it wouldn’t be.
Have a wonderful 2014, from all of us here at The Inertia.
