Terror Vault 5 is a compilation of sheer, disgusting, jaw-dropping horror. Shot at Nazare, Mullaghmore, Maverick’s and Jaws, the moments in the edit are a harsh reminder of the downside to paddling into a watery freight train that doesn’t like you very much.
Usually, watching a pro beef it provides a bit of light-hearted schadenfreude to break up a surf edit, but watching one of these madmen get the speed wobbles on a 30-foot monster is quite the opposite. The video cuts to the next clip and you can’t help but wonder, “Is that guy okay?” However, the flip side to the terror of Terror Vault is that seeing these moments allows us to truly appreciate it when someone actually manages to make the drop.
