Team Hawaii wins ISA World Junior Championship

For the first time since 2005, Hawaii claimed the ISA World Junior Surfing Championship at Playa Venao, Panama –  winning two individual gold medals in the process. Australia, Brazil and the United States received the Silver, Bronze and Copper Medals, respectively.

Team Hawaii leaves Panama with two individual champions Dax Mcgill and Kalani David.

Team United States, competing separately from Hawaii, won the copper medal and did not receive any medals in individual competition. The only other teams to win multiple medals in individual competition were Brazil and Australia, receiving two medals apiece.
