If this is what Teahupo’o has in store for the WSL’s annual tour stop then we’re about to get a really good show. It’s enough to make you hope the monster at the end of the road still has something left in the tank come August 21.
Nonetheless, several of the athletes set to compete in the Tahiti Pro Teahupo’o are already getting familiar with one of the heaviest waves on tour. This last run of swell to roll through “Chopes” was as good as it gets, with conditions coming together perfectly for some to get the best waves we’ve seen here all year.
