The Inertia

While it’s not immediately clear what this swimmer was up to (we’re assuming he was either trying to get the shark out of the shorebreak or clear a hook from its mouth), his show of strength is duly noted. This unidentified man in Delaware caught an eight-foot shark near shore at Cape Henlopen State Park beach, according to local media – which was also quick to point out that it’s illegal to take sharks from the water in the state. This particular species of shark was not identified but the man’s skill (and strength) is certainly on full display. Shark populations are reportedly healthy all along the Atlantic coast as the region has become an epicenter for great white research of late.
