Most surfers will tell you that they love surfing small waves. They’re fun, the paddle out is easy, and the wipeouts aren’t so bad…. But I’ve seen some crazy small-wave wipeouts.
I’ve seen wipeouts going frontside, backside, while trying big airs and maneuvers, or simply just paddling out to the lineup. Small waves can do plenty of damage. That’s why I decided to take a look at how small waves can be dangerous too. Enjoy, and be safe on during your next session, no matter how big the waves are.
