Pipeline has been good lately, to say the least. There have been a few days since the New Year broke the horizon that qualify as all-time — and, despite the pandemic, most of the world’s best surfers made their way to that fabled stretch of sand. This, of course, sets the spectator up for a bit of a show: one of the world’s best waves, some of the world’s best surfers, and few days of seriously solid swell.
The World Surf League looked at some of the footage filtering in and decided that there was enough to stitch together nine minutes of straight-up Pipeline footage. No music, no b-roll, just A-listers and Pipe specialists showing each other up at the Banzai. Featuring surfing from Kelly Slater, John John Florence, Josh Moniz, Seth Moniz, Barron Mamiya, and many others, it’s a Pipeline clip that focuses on nothing but great waves and great surfing.
