The Inertia

There are a lot of surf films out there. A LOT. Some long, some short, some full length, some just IG clips. Some are good and some are bad, some are just okay. Some have good surfing and bad music, some have great music and bad surfing, and some have a bit of everything. Some have men, some have women, some have both. It takes a lot for a surf film to stand out from the rest, but the simply, aptly named one you see above is the brightest shining star in a sea of stars.

Surfing, a film made by Dan Scott, features Stephanie Gilmore, Nikki van Dijk, Tyler Wright, Macy Callaghan, and Dimity Stoyle. It is the film version of how surfing feels. Or should feel, anyway. No angry locals waxing windows, no tires getting slashed, no leashes getting cut. It’s just fun and cruisy, full of laughter and full of smiling faces and good waves and good surfing. It’s 27 minutes of pure viewing enjoyment.
