Uluwatu has been full of beans lately. Back to back swells, and the hits just keep on coming. On June 19, an already full cup got a top up, and Uluwatu jumped up in size. It wasn’t that perfect, peeling Uluwatu that you dream about, though.
It was big, unorganized, lumpy, and bumpy. Less than ideal, but despite that, there were a few surfers out there who were willing to give it a crack. And although it was a tough slog, some very good waves were found in the midst of the slop. With any luck, the next swell will bring some scissors and a razor with it to groom the lineup a little better.
