The San Francisco Fire Department announced Friday morning a surfer had been rescued while surfing Ocean Beach and was in critical condition. The Department responded to an emergency call where Judah Street meets the Great Highway just before 10 a.m. and when they arrived, ocean rescue and at least one bystander were on the beach administering CPR. Three surfers had reportedly pulled the man out of the water when he didn’t pop back up after catching a wave.
