You’ve probably seen posts from famed surf comedians Chad and JT? And how they “go deep?” They’ve done some great stuff in the past – including this gem – but some of their best work has come at the hands of the San Clemente, Calif. city council. Complaining about things that really don’t matter to normal people, but might be important to say, entitled surfers? Like say, the city moving a tee box at a municipal golf course, thus blocking said entitled surfer dudes’ views (who, ironically, always seem to have enough time to golf after getting out of the ocean).
“We came to San Clemente to correct a grave error,” they wrote on their YouTube page. “The city officials moved the blue tee box on the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course so it no longer has ocean views. This has boned the golfers of Orange County of essential golf stoke and we will not let it stand.”
We’re proud to say that Chad went on to cite yours truly in his appeal, referencing a list The Inertia put together back in 2015 naming the 8 Best (Affordable) Golf Courses in SoCal. We see you, Chad and JT. And we challenge you to a round of eighteen at San Clemente Municipal. Loser surfs Lowers in the wardrobe of winner’s choice.
