The Super Girl Surf Pro will take place in Jacksonville, Florida this weekend. The centerpiece of the event will be an all-female surf competition in which entrants will compete in what is not only the largest female surfing event in the world, but also the only WQS3000 women’s event in the United States.
The Super Girl Surf Pro has existed since 2007 and this is the third year the series has had an event in Jacksonville. The series aims to be a showcase for not only female surfers, but women in all action sports. As such, alongside the surfing competition, there will also be skateboarding, beach volleyball, beach soccer and beach lacrosse tournaments. In addition, there are a host of other, non-competitive activities, including concerts, classes and speakers.
Last year’s Jacksonville event was won by Caroline Marks, who defeated Bella Kenworthy for the title. The previous winner was Alyssa Spencer, who also took home the gold medal at the most recent Oceanside Super Girl Surf Pro. Marks, Spencer and Kenworthy are all registered entrants for this weekend event, along with Carissa Moore, Sawyer Lindblad, Moana Jones-Wong, Luana Silva and more.
The Jacksonville Super Girl Surf Pro will take place from November 10-12 at the Jacksonville Beach Pier. The full event schedule can be found here and the live broadcast will stream here.
