This photo series features a few shots from this summer on the South Shore of Oahu. Personally, I think this summer has been a lot better than it has been in recent years. In addition to favorable winds, there have been waves almost every day. A few significant swells rolled through, too, which kept everyone extremely busy and stoked.
The summer started early with a few decent swells, many of which came during the weekend and allowed the 9-5’ers to get a few solid days of surf. Recently, there has been a few swells that were bigger than what we’re used to. It caught most people off guard, including one sailboat that flipped over after underestimating the power of the ocean. The summer season, however, isn’t over yet, and already swell forecasts are predicting another fun-sized swell that is on its way as we speak.
