When it comes to documenting surfing, there are few better than Morgan Maassen. When it comes to surfing, there are few better than Stephanie Gilmore. Maassen, as a person who has created a life around pointing his camera at surfers (among many other things, of course) has seen a lot of surfing. So when he says this is “some of the best surfing I’ve ever seen with my own eyes,” you know it’s something special. It’s Stephanie Gilmore, the apple of surfing’s eye, in South Africa, free surfing Cape St. Francis and doing what she does best: blowing minds at J-Bay, a place that seems to be an extension of Stephanie herself.
