Congratulations to Stephanie Gilmore, the 2014 Women’s World Tour Champion. Although Steph went down to Courtney Conlogue in Heat 2 of the Quarter Finals, it was Carissa Moore’s victory over Tyler Wright that was the decisive factor in crowning Stephanie Gilmore as the Women’s World Tour Champion. This is Stephanie’s 6th World Title.
Although conditions were less than perfect on the last day of the final stop in the Women’s WCT, the girls were putting it all on the line. This was an especially important contest for Carissa who sought to turn around the historical Aussie-dominant rivalry at Honolua Bay. “This is a huge deal for me,” Carissa commented. “My friends and family are here, and I don’t usually get to perform in front of them.” Congratulations to Carissa Moore and Stephanie Gilmore on their exceptional performance this year!
