Shipstern Bluff is a pretty magical wave. For those of us that will never surf it, it’s nearly impossible to imagine what facing all those little nooks and crannies that hide in the face of the wave would be like, let alone staring out of one of those cavernous barrels.
But for those who do surf it–Mick Fanning, Mark Mathews, Laurie Towner, Ryan Hipwood, Danny Griffiths, Tyler Hollmer Cross and Brent Dorrington in this edit–it’s not something they soon forget. And thanks to Eyes in the Sky Visuals and their skill with those flying cameras, we get to see it.
