I got into shaping in New York City after Hurricane Sandy. While surfing my favorite break at Rockaway, I collected remains of the boardwalk to be used for my first shaping rack. With a background in sculpture and my understanding of boards through surfing, it seemed like a perfect fit. I’m constantly critiquing my last board and dreaming of the next. Through practice, dedication, and evolution, I’m homing the art of surfing and shaping.
