You may recall, two years ago when a woman was swimming next to her boyfriend who was surfing in the area around Church at San Onofre State Beach when she was attacked by a great white. The shark bit into her leg, leaving her with gruesome injuries and nearly costing her the leg. Leeanne Ericson was interviewed by a local San Diego news channel recently around the anniversary of the attack and talked about her recovery. It’s been fairly grueling. One interesting note is the story about how she fought the shark off, basically punching it the soft spot around its eyes. Listen in.
