Ryan Burch is one of the most interesting people in surfing. He surfs everything and he surfs it well. There might be a good reason for that–Burch understands waves and surfboards far better than most. He shapes many of his own boards, and while they’re not exactly “normal”, they appear to work (for Ryan, at least) pretty damn well. Here he is testing a few in the South Pacific.
