This time of year is pretty fantastic on the North Shore. Waves are plentiful, crowds aren’t quite Triple Crown sized, and the level of surfing is pretty incredible. There are a lot of choices along that seven-mile stretch of sand, and Rocky Point is often the go-to. When a swell is good for Rocky Point, it’s one of the best waves in the world — and it’s not generally a wave that wants to kill you like, say, Pipe or an outer reef. It’s a little more rippable, a little more user-friendly. And recently, a whole lot of pros (of which there are many on the North Shore) went out to Rockies to play.
