Rob Machado is one of the most recognizable surfers in the whole world. Not just because of that mop of hair, but because of the way he surfs. He surfs like melting butter sliding around in a frying pan. He surfs like an ice cube melting on a hot, tanned stomach. He surfs like honey pouring from a jar. And he surfs with his right foot forward.
Rob Machado is the goofy-footers’ goofy footer, but Firewire wanted to see what he’d look like if he wasn’t. So, like Missy Elliott, they put their things down, flipped it up and reversed it. It being that old video of Rob surfing on the Go Fish in France.
