Rob Machado makes surfing look very easy. He surfs with his eyes at half-mast, his hair flinging around behind him, his body moving like a heavy rope dangling from a tall building. He is lithe and powerful, all his movements seemingly attached to one another. From the tips of his toes to the tips of his hair, there is nothing disjointed about the way he moves when he’s surfing.
He, along with Firewire, has quite a few models of surfboards. There’s the Midas and the Moonbeam, the Go Fish and the Almond Butter. Machado is constantly toying with board design, and in the latest episode of Snacktime, he gives a glimpse at his newest possible creation. Don’t tell anyone, though. “Shhh,” he says. “We can’t talk about this guy right now. It’s a secret.”
