The Inertia

Canada is a beautiful place. It’s got everything you could ask for: rugged mountains, endless plains, rainforests, deserts, and an absolutely massive stretch of coastline. In some places, one needs only to drive for a few hours to go from a temperate rainforest to a desert, or from reeling, picture-perfect waves to the top of some snowy peak.

Kananaskis, Alberta, sits in the shadow of the Rockies. In a country full of amazing sights, it sits near the top of the list. The snow melt from the range of mountains above it pours into countless rivers ands streams, and since all you need to surf is a wave and a board, far from the ocean, there are people surfing there.
