The Inertia

Rincon isn’t known as the Queen of the Coast for nothing. When it’s on there, it is ON, and on December 22, it was certainly that.

“December 22, 2024, will go down in the books as one of those unforgettable days at Rincon,” wrote the Onwards Collective on YouTube. “Perfect conditions, flawless peelers, and the stoke was through the roof.”

December 22 was a good day for surfers. The Eddie happened. Jaws blew up. Maverick’s was terrifying. Much of California’s coastline was hammered by huge surf, and although it was victory at sea conditions for the most part, there were more than a few diamonds in the rough to be found. And if there’s one thing we know about Queens, it’s that they like diamonds.
