What was likely the closing swell of the season recently rolled through Jaws, so Ridge Lenny made it count. In the latest video posted to his YouTube channel, the waterman took viewers on a rare POV journey at the famed wave.
“Not the biggest day ever but a rare light crowd and fun 25-30-foot waves all day with the random 40 footer every once in a while,” elaborated Lenny in the description. “This was my first time doing the POV angle out there and while it does make the wave look a lot smaller than it actually is, it gives you the idea of the speed and overall vibe of what it’s like to be out there!”
Even though it was just a “small” day for Jaws, Ridge and company turned the session into a fitting sendoff for the season. Check out the video below for the aforementioned POV action, a wild tandem wave with Kai Lenny, and an especially gnarly wipeout featuring Otis Buckingham.
