The Inertia

Like most people, I like dogs a lot. Dogs, I think, are much better people than most people and, for the most part, I prefer the company of a dog than a person. I also like surfing a lot. Not as much as I like dogs, but I really, really like sliding around on waves. So it would make sense that I would like dogs that surf. Although it would make sense, I don’t usually care all that much, save for wondering how some of the owners can trick themselves into thinking their dogs actually LIKE surfing.

Of all surfing dogs, though, Ricochet is one that I really like. She’s probably surfing’s most famous animal, except maybe for Kama the surfing pig. Just a few days ago, we released a video about Ricochet and the fact that she’s raised a half million dollars for different causes. She is an amazing dog, and I’m reasonably sure that she’s one of the dogs that actually enjoys surfing. Although surfing is the string that ties Ricochet to the people she’s helping, there’s something a little more there. She has a very real connection with people.

Although she’s already pretty famous, she’s really hitting the big time. She’s starring in an IMAX film called Superpower Dogs. It’s “an epic 3D live action movie that will bring extraordinary dogs to life on huge IMAX and giant screen theaters.” The film is about dogs that are truly incredible–dogs that are able to save lives using various skills. Here’s the trailer.
