Yeah, we’re still absolutely tripping over how fantastic the 2022 Tahiti Pro was. You couldn’t have asked for a better location or a better swell to end the regular season. And the fight for qualification to compete in the WSL Finals September 8-16 just added another level to the event.
But as surf fans, first and foremost, we’re watching the waves, and to say those delivered in spades would be an understatement. In WSL scoring, an eight-point-ride or better is considered an excellent wave. And when you have 12 minutes of excellent waves to relive when the event is finished, you can be sure it was a good one.
