Season one of Life of Kai from Red Bull took us all for quite a journey. From Nazaré to Jaws and Maverick’s, the audience was given insight into what it takes to surf such legendary waves, and a peek into Kai Lenny’s mindset, one of the most standout characters on the big-wave scene.
Season two just dropped on Friday on Red Bull TV and YouTube, diving right into Kai’s 2020-2021 big-wave season. It’s full of pandemic-related challenges and chasing the glory of big waves around the globe. The first episode takes us on an early-season Nazaré swell chase, the historic Hurricane Epsilon, and Kai’s quick transition from summertime flat spells on the Hawaiian Islands to waves so big you couldn’t paddle into them if you tried.
