There’s a lot to be said for the raw clip. Sure, a highlight reel can be entertaining, but especially in surfing, a big part of it comes from the little things that lead into whatever makes it to the highlights. The paddle in, the little pumps down the line, the fine adjustments necessary to make those highlight reel-worthy moments possible. Mason Ho has a lot of highlights, and in the raw video above, shot at V Town and Rocky Point, we’re able to see all the little things that he does on a wave from paddle in to kick out.
