Surfing is art and art is surfing, as they say. The medium lends itself to some incredibly creative things. Surfboards are works of art. Surfing itself is art. It draws artistic people to it. And despite the rising popularity of competitive surfing that doesn’t showcase it, it will always be an art form.
That’s clear in Billabong’s latest disguised advertisement, featuring Laura Enever, Felicity Palmateer, and Alessa Quizon. “Being immersed in surfing can sometimes feel as if your stepping into a portal into a different planet where life becomes more colorful,” whoever writes the Youtube description wrote. “The freedom, the smell, the excitement, you become one with your surroundings. A place where you can roam free, surf empty waves and strip away all the noise.”
