All those years the Pro Bowl was hosted in Hawaii apparently did Drew Brees’surfing some good. The New Orleans Saints quarterback recently visited the Surf Ranch and it looks as though he got the wave(s) of his life. While Brees isn’t all that deep ‘in the pipe,’ he’s certainly ‘in the curl.’ It sounds as if NFL films was on hand to grab footy of the Super Bowl-winning quarterback who just signed a new deal with the Saints.
“Some pretty epic shots from the Surf Ranch w @KellySlater @wsl @kswaveco,” Brees wrote on Instagram. Had me feeling like a surfer! Unreal day! And what is that KS has tucked under his arm in the pipe???!More footage to come…drone footage and all from NFL film crew.”
Yep, that’s Slater holding a pigskin in ‘the pipe.’ But why Drew Brees and not us? While he did take less to win more on his new contract, there are $27 million reasons why he could probably afford a trip to the ranch. Kelly’s wave farm has certainly hosted some high-end company of late. Company that doesn’t have a whole lot to do with surfing. There’s definitely a pattern developing, here.
