I spontaneously moved to Maine and have tapped into an eye-opening community of surfers that are bred like no other. While the normal people of small beach towns are hunkering down, dreading the brutal New England winter, these surfers are prepping their gear and looking forward to the chaos every Nor’easter has to offer. These storms kick up the nastiest waves in temperatures that would make a normal person stay inside. Armed with 6mm wetsuits, booties, mittens and neoprene hoods, these guys and gals hit the beach in every condition to prove what a little technology, a little motivation and a lot of passion can accomplish.
