Miguel Blanco is currently inside the Top 100 on the QS grind, but at the last minute, he decided to go to Puerto for the first time (while the QS 10,000 in Ballito was on) and get a taste of the Mexican Pipeline. Needless to say, it was a mouthful.
At only 22, Blanco is one of Portugal’s top surfers. He was the only Portuguese shredder who made the recent ‘Monumental Swell’ in Nias, where he probably scored the wave of his life (stay tuned for his next video). He’s a rising star both from a progressive surfing standpoint and when it comes to chasing big surf all over the world. So he isn’t just a QS warrior. His free surfing skills are as good as you’ll find in Europe and yes, he loves the barrel. And he found a few in Mexico with more than a couple of people on hand to film him.
