Growing up in the suburbs of Virginia the thought of one day becoming a surf photographer hardly seemed realistic. My love for the ocean and the lifestyle that surrounds it is what kept this dream alive.
Located in a small town of Wrightsville Beach, NC, I have set out to capture nature’s beauty using creative image framing both in and out of the water. Escaping from life’s stress, I try to turn those indescribable moments into Fine Art Photography.
I received my first camera two years ago as a gift from my dad and became hooked. Photography has become one of the most important things in my life. It has given me the opportunity to slow down, surround myself by nature, and capture images that are sometimes overlooked in day to day life.
Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to work and travel with cinematographer Joe Cheshire, surfing artist Phil Goodrich, and ECSC 2012 winner Jean da Silva. These guys have all been huge influences and continue to challenge me.
