Sunday was an epic day for Pipeline surfers. While the North Shore’s most famous wave has been firing lately, November 24 was one of the best days yet.
“The North Shore awoke to a solid 6-8 foot swell with very light winds,” Off Da Lip wrote on YouTube. “The pros were out at Pipe and getting shacked as you would expect.”
The video you see here was shot from around 9-10 a.m. The usual morning sickness had almost worked itself out, and Backdoor and Pipeline weren’t the only places on fire. Oahu’s east side was firing, and even the south shore saw some action. The North Shore — and Pipeline in particular — was shining a little brighter, and even though the crowd showed up to meet the waves, it surely was a day that North Shore surfers wait all year for.
