Maverick’s surfers got their Christmas wishes this year. A bump in swell gifted them a few days of almost perfect waves. Glassy, clean, and big, it was just about as good as Mav’s gets. And when Mav’s gets good, you can bet that Pete Mel will be there, chasing a unicorn wave that he’s already caught once.
