The Inertia

Pedro Scooby has become the latest professional surfer to join OnlyFans. Don’t get too excited, though. The Brazilian, who last year won top honors at the Nazare Big Wave Challenge with teammate Lucas Chianca, will be using the paid subscription service to share behind the scenes moments from his surfing career.

“I’ve always believed that life is all about connection and energy, and OnlyFans is another way for me to get closer to the people who follow my journey,” explained Scooby in a press release. “I want to share what happens behind the scenes — from prepping to take on massive waves, to the more laid-back moments of everyday life in Nazaré. Surfing is my world, but my story goes beyond the ocean, and I’m stoked to share it all in a more direct and real way.”

Though OnlyFans is primarily associated with sex workers, other content creators have also made use of the site for non-pornographic reasons, including several surfers. Maui big wave surfer Billy Kemper joined the platform last year, focusing on behind-the-scenes looks at his training regimen. Nathan Florence has been on the site since 2021.

In addition to posting content on the site, Scooby will be competing on an OnlyFans branded board.
