I like start my day out with a bang! The only way for me to make it through a long surf or workout is too have some good clean fuel.

Please note I use all local and organic fruit, and the vegetables I grow in my garden. The reason I like to put vegetables in the blender is because it’s so hard to get your daily allotment unless you’re a rabbit. I don’t really like veggies, so it’s easier to get them down, and you still get all the fiber and other good stuff that juicing can sometimes take out. This is great for your digestive system and what later is in your toilet will be a reminder. The super foods you can throw in a smoothie are endless, so don’t be afraid to modify — I like to mix up.

Good mix-ins…

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • Half a papaya
  • Large handful of mixed collared greens — kale, spinach, parsley, and rainbow chard are some of my favorites
  • 2 to 3 spoonfuls of avocado
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • Solraiz maca powder
  • Chia seed
  • Hemp seed
  • Tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Liquid (See below.)

Directions:

  • Mix it up!  Drink and enjoy pure health

Like a Local: You can either use almond, coconut, hemp milk, or water with a spoon full of honey for a liquid. My favorite is coconut milk.

A morning essential.
