As of February 4th, the Oakley Pro Bali at Keramas officially became part of the 2013 ASP World Championship Men’s Tour. This marks the first Tour event in Indonesia since the Rip Curl Pro Search in 2008. Keramas, a right-hand reef break located on the island’s East Coast, will act as the primary venue. Keramas is claimed by many to have some of the best high-performance waves on the planet. Canggu, a nearby beach break, will act as a backup location.

Renato Hickel, ASP WCT Manager, announced “We are very excited about the addition of the Oakley Pro Bali to the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour schedule. This will be the first ASP World Title-deciding event at Keramas, an internationally-recognized venue of high-performance surfing, and we look forward to the ASP Top 34 doing battle there for years to come”.

This event will be the fifth of ten events on the 2013 ASP World Tour. Oakley, having held their world junior event at Keramas for the last couple years, is well prepared to put the contest together. Due to the rippable righthanders and an Indonesian paradise backdrop, the Oakley Pro Bali will be one of the most anticipated events on this year’s tour. Following the Oakley Pro June 18th through the 29th, will be the Billabong Pro Teahupo’o.
